Dry Needling

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is the insertion of fine needles into muscle knots and trigger points. Sometimes the needles are simply inserted; sometimes they are inserted and twisted or tweaked.

Dry Needling is used to reduce pain, spasm and to improve function.

Dry Needling works with the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Placement of the needles’ encourages vasodilation and therefore increased blood flow to an area. This promotes a healing response, and relaxation of the involved musculature.
